This will be a great second class to take after the VISUAL JOURNALING CLASS, or just by itself!  Students will alter the inside of a book,making cut-out layers, forming 3-dimensional picture, learn to do 'pop-ups', cut doors and windows, and make a variety of pockets (depending on time).  Bring a snack and drink if you want (beverages are available at HAL-60 cents each).  Supply list available at HAL.

You will need to bring a thick old book to this class. Make sure the binding is very secure. These are easy to find for very little money at thrift stores. You will also need 3-5 sticks of inexpensive glue sticks, and a craft knife with blades.

This is a one day, six hour workshop with intensive FUN learning!  Students will learn techniques to make their journal a work of art.  "Art Journaling" is useful for recording your art ideas or just the events of your day.  It is also an accepted form of therapy (but much less expensive and much more fun!).  Some of the techniques that you will learn - patterns, sponging, paper-tearing, texture and many others.
